Investigate nutritional status and anemia secondary students
Ho Chi Minh City Nutrition Center in collaboration with Department of Education City is expected to randomly selected 30 secondary schools in this study. The purpose of the survey is to collect basic data to make appropriate interventions to improve nutritional status and anemia in adolescent age.
Here are some specific objectives of the survey:
- Determine the rate of malnutrition, overweight and anemia among students.
- Find the relationship between nutritional status, anemia with factors such as dietary habits, place of residence (urban, suburban), the study results, status of menstruation (girls).
Also, in the 2002-2003 school year, Nutrition Center will also coordinate with the Department of Education hold further three surveys on the subject students:
- Nutritional status of children in kindergartens and kindergartens.
- Nutritional status of school children.
- Overweight and the associated health risks for students age 6-11 in District 1.
